General Teleconsultation

1. How do I know if my concern is suitable for an online consultation?
Most non-emergency issues-such as hormonal problems, fertility planning, period concerns, child development questions, follow-ups and second opinions-can be safely handled online. If your condition requires physical examination or urgent intervention, the doctor will advise immediate in-person care. Teleconsultation is best for clarity, planning and structured guidance.
2. What conditions should not be managed online?
Severe bleeding, chest pain, breathing difficulty, seizures, fainting, newborn distress, absent fetal movements or sudden severe abdominal pain require emergency hospital care. Teleconsultation is not designed for unstable medical situations. If red flags arise during your session, you will be directed to seek urgent in-person evaluation.
3. Will I receive a prescription during the consultation?
If clinically appropriate and legally permitted, prescriptions can be issued digitally. Some medications may require in-person examination before being prescribed. The doctor will clearly explain limitations if certain medicines cannot be issued via telemedicine.
4. How should I prepare before my appointment?
Keep all relevant lab reports, scan reports, discharge summaries and current prescriptions ready. Ensure good internet connectivity and a quiet private space. Writing down your main questions beforehand improves clarity and helps maximize your consultation time.

Women’s Health & Hormones

5. Can period problems or fibroids really be handled online?
Yes. Most uterine and hormonal concerns are evaluated through history, scan reports and lab interpretation, which can be reviewed digitally. Teleconsultation is ideal for understanding whether surgery is necessary, adjusting medications and planning structured follow-up.
6. I was advised hysterectomy. Should I seek a second opinion?
If surgery has been recommended and you feel uncertain, seeking a second opinion is reasonable. Many fibroids and bleeding disorders can initially be managed medically. A structured review helps clarify urgency, fertility impact and alternative treatment options.
7. Is hormone replacement therapy (HRT) safe for menopause?
HRT can be safe and effective for many women when prescribed after careful risk assessment. Age, time since menopause, personal history and family risk factors must be considered. The decision should be individualized rather than generalized.

Fertility & Pregnancy

8. When should we consult a fertility specialist?
If you are under 35 and have tried for 12 months without success, or over 35 and tried for 6 months, consultation is advisable. Earlier evaluation is recommended if cycles are irregular, there is known PCOS, thyroid issues or male factor concerns.
9. Can I get an IVF or IUI second opinion online?
Yes. Fertility protocols, embryo reports, hormone panels and stimulation plans can be reviewed digitally. Teleconsultation helps clarify whether protocol changes are needed, whether IVF is necessary now and how to improve cycle success chances.
10. What if I have an abnormal pregnancy scan?
Abnormal ultrasound findings often create anxiety. A structured second opinion can explain what the finding means, whether it is high risk and what next steps are recommended. Urgent concerns are clearly identified and directed to immediate care if needed.

Child Health & Development

11. How do I know if my child’s development is delayed?
Milestones vary slightly, but significant delay in speech, social interaction, motor skills or attention should be evaluated. Early screening helps differentiate between temporary variation and developmental disorders. Early intervention improves long-term outcomes.
12. Can ADHD or autism be diagnosed online?
Initial screening and behavioural assessment can begin online through detailed history and structured evaluation. However, formal diagnosis may require in-person psychological or developmental assessment tools. Teleconsultation helps guide the next appropriate step.
13. My baby cries excessively. Is this normal?
Crying can be normal in newborns, especially during evening hours. However, feeding issues, reflux, colic or infection must be ruled out. A teleconsult helps differentiate normal patterns from warning signs and provides structured soothing strategies.

Safety, Privacy & Process

14. Is my medical information kept confidential?
Yes. Consultations are conducted on secure digital platforms with restricted access to medical records. Your data is not shared with employers, insurers or unrelated third parties without consent, except where legally required.
15. Can teleconsultation replace hospital visits completely?
No. Teleconsultation complements hospital care but does not replace physical examination, procedures or emergency services. It is best used for structured guidance, follow-ups, preventive care and second opinions.
