About Second Opinion

When a scan result, blood test, or pregnancy diagnosis leaves you with more questions than answers, you deserve a clear expert explanation – not more uncertainty. Our Maternal & Fetal Medicine MDT Second Opinion brings together the right specialists to review your full case and give you a single, written plan you can actually act on.

Before your video call, our lead specialist personally reviews every document you share – scan reports, blood tests, obstetric history, and hospital notes. You receive a written opinion before the call so you can read it, absorb it, and come prepared. The consultation is then focused entirely on what you need to understand.

For straightforward cases, one Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist handles your complete review. For complex situations – twins, abnormal genetic results, NICU planning, overlapping maternal conditions – the relevant specialists join together on a single call. You hear one integrated plan, not conflicting opinions from separate visits.

Conditions we review

We help families navigate these pregnancy concerns. If your situation isn’t listed, reach out – we’ll let you know honestly if we can help.

What’s Included in Your Second Opinion

This is not a standard teleconsult. Every second opinion includes four core deliverables – prepared, reviewed, and delivered in a specific order so that your video call is focused and your plan is clear.

01

PRE-REVIEW

Comprehensive Case Review – Before We Speak

Your documents are reviewed in full before your appointment. Nothing is read for the first time during your call.

  • All ultrasound reports and scan images reviewed
  • Blood test results examined – NIPT, thyroid, glucose, blood counts, coagulation
  • Full obstetric history and current symptoms documented
  • Previous discharge summaries and hospital notes read
  • Urgent red flags identified – if emergency in-person care is needed, you are directed immediately

02

WRITTEN OPINION

Written Opinion – Issued Before Your Video Call

A clear 1-2 page document in plain language. You receive this before your call so you can read, absorb, and come prepared.

  • Your diagnosis explained simply – no jargon, no vague reassurances
  • Risk level clearly stated: low / moderate / high
  • Recommended next steps – monitoring plan, testing options
  • Warning signs to watch for at home
  • Key points written to share with your local doctor
  • Delivered via PDF, email, or WhatsApp

03

VIDEO CALL

Joint Video Consultation – 20 to 30 Minutes

A focused video call with the specialist or specialists who reviewed your case. All experts join one call – you never repeat yourself.

  •   Your concerns are heard first – no rush
  •   Integrated explanation of all findings, risks, and the plan
  •   Direct Q&A with each specialist present
  •   Simple cases: one Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist
  •   Complex cases: all relevant specialists on the same call – one unified discussion
  • Call recorded on request so you can revisit it later

04

CARE PLAN

Written Care Plan – Delivered After Your Call

You leave with a written, actionable plan – not just verbal advice you have to try to remember.

  •   Monitoring schedule – when to get next scans, NSTs, and blood tests
  •   Delivery timing and location recommendation
  •   Medication and lifestyle guidance
  •   Emergency warning signs clearly listed
  •   All medical terms explained in plain language
  • Shareable with any local doctor or hospital managing your ongoing care
